Or, is there a way to delete the topic and create a new one with the appropriate name?

You can delete a topic. Not sure if there is a timelimit on it but here’s a picture of where to delete it.

If for some reason (time limit) it doesn’t offer you the option of deleting, just let us know which topic you want to change and what you want to change it to. Administrators can change topic titles.
